“Reflections” by Marc & Chantal
Date: 23 May - 26 May 2014
Location : HONG KONG

Marc & Chantal conceived Swire Properties’ VIP Lounge in 2014. “Reflections” features an intricate maze of coloured glass panels and mirrors offering a multi-layered perspective of a connected space which created a series of optical illusions. Positioned with geometric precision, they were linked by a yellow line, and reflections of viewers standing on the line were bounced around the installation, appearing on mirrors at unexpected corners.

Swire Properties sponsored Hong Kong’s first Art Basel show in 2013. To facilitate artistic exchange at the event, Marc & Chantal were commissioned to create a unique VIP lounge. “Connection” featured more than 170 architectural miniatures suspended in mid-air, with vivid images of the city’s landscape and public spaces visible within these miniatures; a theme inspired by Hong Kong’s dense urban fabric and hidden corridors.
